| Annual
Pledge Program Overview |
The Annual Pledge Program operates on a calendar year. It is introduced annually in the fall via parish-wide mailing. You
become a Pledge Parishioner by simply filling out the pledge
form and returning it by mail or in person to the parish
center. This form allows you to plan ahead what your yearly contribution to the parish will be, and then choose the payment schedule that accommodates your financial plan.
Some donors give weekly. Others choose to submit their payments monthly,
quarterly or semi-annually. Many
authorize a systematic e-checking
or bank/credit card deduction for the pledge using our online
system.. |
- Pledging encourages us to live a life of Christian Stewardship.
As stewards, we are charged with managing our gifts of Time, Talent and Treasure. As Christian stewards we recognize that God gives these gifts to us, to be managed by us, for God.
Your pledge contribution:
- Supports the poor. We
tithe ten percent of our offertory income, through Social Justice committee
grants, to the poor and needy of D.C.
- Strengthens our Parish’s spiritual, pastoral, educational and social ministries.
- Pledging encourages financial planning – both for the donor and the Parish.
- Imagine if your work place told you they would compensate you, but didn’t
tell you how much! It would be nearly impossible for you to budget
and plan for your needs. The Parish wants to plan and budget for
its needs as well. Let
us know what you intend to give so we can be responsible stewards of your gifts.
- A Pledge is Non-Binding.
- A Pledge donor can postpone or cancel his/her pledge at any time.
- Pledging is very convenient.
- Pledges can be paid automatically using e-checking
or bank/credit cards using our online
system.
- You can also pay your pledge by using checks or cash. Our
offertory envelopes are a vehivle for paying your pledge. Please use your Sunday envelope – particularly when donating cash.
- Pledge payments can be made weekly, monthly,
semi-monthly, etc. to meet your needs.
- Pledging brings a great sense of satisfaction.
- You have the satisfaction of knowing that you support the very services, ministries and educational programs that we as a Church are called to provide.
- As a Jesuit Parish we are committed to Missionary Outreach, Social Justice, Collaboration in Mission and Spirituality through the Spiritual Exercises.
