St. Al's Parish also has a Social Justice Committee, which we hope to grow in collaboration. Presently they are focusing on Prison Ministry.
 
On Apr. 15, 2010 representatives of the St. Al.’s social justice committee came to HT's Social Justice Ministry Meeting to present their focus on restorative justice and prison ministry. They described the potential for work in the justice system in the DC Metro area primarily as teachers, mentors, tutors. They also described the work of Conflict Resolution Center in Baltimore.  They were looking for an opportunity to energize our sister parish relationship with St. Al’s, by asking for volunteers for their group, challenging us to imagine how we might partner, and making us aware of the work of the Conflict Resolution Center.
