The parish collective financial response to the community’s social justice needs is the parish tithe. The parish annually commits (tithes) 10% of the parish’s ordinary parish contributions to serving people in need.
The 2008 tithe, distributed in 2009, was $351,000. The tithe was distributed to eleven Jesuit and parish-related organizations and through a comprehensive review process involving over 70 parishioners, to 45 community organizations and non-profits.
The Social Justice Ministry serves as philanthropy steward for the parish.
